*insert OMG STAR TREK here*
I am not a Trekkie. I don't get the injokes or the little references. Most I got was the catchphrases. However.

... OMG STAR TREK.

Edit: You know who I liked a lot? Who surprised me with how much I liked him versus everyone else? Chekov. His whole "I CAN DO THAT" part cinched it.

Is it bad I liked Voyager?

Is it worse I thought it was the best of the TV Series?

The origional was very good, however.

No, I did not like Next Generation very much (aside First Contact, which I loved).

Deep Space Nine blew goats. So did Enterprise.

And I still smile when I see the intro for Voyager... because to me it strikes a lot of the epic tones (picture and music) of what space exploration in person could be. Voyager is the "Odyssey" of the Star Treks, and I love that book...

That said, I need to see the new movie.

PS - I probably like Voyager so much because I was watching it, brand new and I was old enough to very much understand what was happening.

If you're a Trekkie like my parents, you'll probably get more out of the movie than a non-Trekkie like myself. But the movie appeals to both camps. I loved it, and when I left the theater with my family, they were gabbing up a storm about OMG THIS TREKKIE THING AND OMG THAT AND OMG AWESOME.

My family, the Trekkies, absolutely loved it.

I, the non-Trekkie, absolutely loved it.

THIS IS SUCH A GOOD MOVIE.

On a completely unrelated note:

"So, what kind of qualifications do you have for this position."

"Well, I was an administrator with the city for three months with the city and worked with customers and money for over two years. I'm highly proficient with just about any software based on Windows PC."

"That's very good; you sound very qualified as this is an entry level position and customer service skills will come in handy. Please, go on."

"I also have a degree from UTSA."

"Oh... um,. I'm sorry. We are not looking for someone with that much... education, for this position."

"I understand that and I'm fine with it. Things are sparse right now and I don't mind."

"I know, and I'm sorry, but that is just too much education for this position."

"... Thank you for your time."

---

I HATE job fairs.

Ugh. I hate the whole "you're overqualified for this position" bullshit. If you were really overqualified, would you be going for the position?
